Dalkeith LGV & PCV Driver Training

As a Transport Company with over 58 years of experience in local and national transportation, we would like to now introduce you to DTR Services Limited.

At DTR Services, they can train private individuals or company staff, based on what your individual requirements are. They have provided first class training facilities for our own staff for many years and we are now able to offer this as an external training service and resource.

This enables us to help you achieve the high standards you would expect from a major transport company. Using their training vehicles, they can help you take drivers or potential drivers through Class C or Class C+E for LGV training with courses from 5 and 7+ day training courses based on the needs and requirements of the individual student. This includes full practical instruction in our training vehicle, allied to instruction on the theory test.

They also carry out both Fork Lift Truck and HIAB Training all to RTITB standard. These courses cover from 1 day refresher to novice training (normally 5 days), depending on the needs of the company or individual.

Further, if required for LGV drivers who have just passed their test, or as a refresher for returning LGV drivers, they can also offer courses on Vehicle Tachograph procedures (both Digital and Analogue).

In addition, they can also now carry out the B+E training on request. (If test passed after 1st of January 1997).

Fork Lift Truck (FLT) Training

All types to R.T.I.T.B. standards from 1 day refresher, to full novice training (normally 5 days). 

LGV Class C and C+E Training

In this course, participants are taught to drive a LGV to a high standard, preparing them for the Driver Standards Agency (DSA) test for the relevant category of vehicle. There are 5 and 7 Day Driving Courses all available, depending on the standard and experience of the applicant.

SAFED Training Courses

Applicants are taught advanced methods of driving with particular attention to vehicle fuel economy. Usual benefits to company's are a reduction in accident damage to vehicles and increased MPG per vehicle & driver. 

Tachograph's and Vehicle Loading 

Effective use of Tachographs and the legal aspects of the driver hours regulations, regards the Working Time Directive (WTD). Both Analogue and Digital courses can be carried out as required.
