I’m pleased to announce that Palletforce now has an iPhone app on the iTunes Store. The app is intended for use by customers and
consignees to allow them to easily track consignments from their iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.
Customers only need to know the delivery postcode, and one of the following identifying numbers: tracking number,
consignment number or their own customer reference.
The app shows the latest tracking point and will also indicate a successful delivery.
It uses live information in Alliance so as soon as a new tracking event or POD is created it will be visible in the app.
The app also remembers the last ten searches so customers and consignees can monitor the progress of consignments from
collection to delivery.
Customers do not need to register to use the app, nor do they need to be using the web based Alliance Customer Entry system,
so any customer and consignee can use the app regardless of how the consignment was created.
The app has been designed to be easy to use and displays tracking information in an easily understandable way:
