Rounds 1,2 &3 Knockhill, 10/4/11

Qualifying
A dry track and cold air made for the perfect qualifying conditions. With 18 cars on track, track positioning was going to be critical, and after seeing a driver spin of at turn two Vic managed to get himself in the perfect position. By lap 3 Vic was on pole with a time of 1:03.443, that was good enough for pole but Vic showed his dominance by going quicker again (1:03.172) taking pole by 4 tenths of a second.
Race One
A poor start saw Vic being boxed in at turn one by his teammate Chris Smiley, allowing Tim Sleigh round his outside. For the next three laps Vic was trading places with David Sleigh for third. Vic managed to break clear of David having got passed him round the outside of Duffus Dip, and set his sight on the leading pair of Chris and Tim. Lap 5 saw these two tangle leading to Chris hitting the tire wall ending his race prematurely. The race order remained the same with Tim taking the flag, however, post race the stewards handed Tim a ten second penalty, promoting Vic to his first win of the season
Race Two
Was unquestionably the race of the day, with Vic, David & Tim trading places every lap. From lap two the top three were rarely covered by under a second and despite having to deal with some team tactics by the Sleigh brothers Vic managed to proved his worth to take his first checkered flag of the year and his second win.
Race Three
A reverse grid meant that Vic started in fifth, Vic was making good progress, however, when making a move for third he was forced onto the grass relegating him back to eighth. A good recovery drive with some bold overtaking saw Vic get back to fifth to round of a good start to the season.
Vic now leads the championship heading into the next round where he hopes to open up larger gap at the top of the table.
