Dalkeith Transport News:
DALKEITH TRANSPORT - MEMBER SHAREHOLDER OF PALLETFORCE NETWORK
From March 2010, we will become a shareholder member of the highly prestigous and awardwinning Palletforce distribution network. The network, which boasts the UK's largest and most modern palletised distribution Hub, was named as the Insitute of Transport Management's Pallet Network of the Year 2009 and was recently visited by HRH The Princess Royal. This is a significant development for Dalkeith Transport that retains our independence and traditional values, whilst giving us the opportunity to offer our customers the very best facilities currently available in the UK and Europe. The Palletforce hub was opened a year ago at a cost of £30million and promotes Smart technology throughout the delivery process speeding up distribution and reducing fuel. Unrivalled quality and flexibility, 24 hours a day every day of the year. Palletforce is the driving innovation and quality within the industry and we are delighted to be joining forces with such a forward thinking, service-orientated network. This move represents our commitment to ensuring we remain focused on quality and customer service within a setting that can deliver the best operational and distribution facilities available.
If you would like to learn more about how these developments can help your business, or if you would like to view the hub in action, I would be delighted to arrange a visit to the Hub, in Burton-upon-Trent. Best Wishes Peter Wright Managing Director

NEW ADDITIONS
Dalkeith Transport & Storage are pleased to announce the latest acquisitions to their fleet in their most recent expansion and renewal of the Fleet. Two new MAN 44 Tonne Tractors and 4 new MAN 18 Tonne Rigid Curtainsiders, in full Dalkeith Transport Livery, went on the road in early June and are being extremely well received by both Drivers and Customers alike. In addition, 10 new Boalloy Curtainsider Trailers, again fully liveried in our distinctive green and white livery, were delivered at the beginning of July and are now being seen regularly around the country. This gives our Fleet a fresh new look and the fact that the majority of our vehicles now have our distinctive livery, also acts as a great advert for the company.
All of the above fleet additions were sourced with the assistance of Steve Roberts, of Avatar Vehicles, (www.avatarvehicles.co.uk) , Peter Wright, Managing Director of Dalkeith Transport, said, "Steve and Avatar Vehicles have been invaluable to us in this project - they have done all of the legwork for us and allowed me to concentrate on other company business. They looked at various manufacturers for all of the equipment and presented their findings to us, making it easy to then choose the best way forward, and at the right price. "
Steve Roberts (Avatar Vehicles), enthused "I have worked with Dalkeith Transport for many years now and we have a great relationship - we like to act as an extension of their company and obtain the best deals possible on their behalf, whether for trucks, trailers, cars or even fork lift trucks. We look forward to continuing this partnership with Dalkeith and enjoying their new growth and fleet renewal with them".
More Trailers and Vehicles are already in the pipeline, watch this space for more details and photographs as they arrive.
